Local Citizen Groups Organized to Stop Development of Ethanol Plants in their Communities:

Cambrians for Thoughtful Development, Cambria, Wisconsin
This is the most comprehensive single web site on issues surrounding ethanol plants on the Internet with hundreds of links to research and news resources.
This community group successfully blocked the establishment of an ethanol plant in Cambria, Wisconsin in the 2005-06 time period. Following the initial refinery rejection, the ethanol developer returned with plans to build an ethanol refinery at a different site in an adjoining community. The refinery at the second site received approval. Members of Cambrians for Thoughtful Development continue to observe the operation of the refinery, alerting area residents regarding issues of concern.
